Nothing left to do?

First of all… You might have noticed me writing in english. Well the idea is, to inform also my dear friends I got known in Iceland all over the world. I truely know that my english is not the best, but I try hard to improve it. ;-)

So, what does the headline mean. After comming home to Germany I had some icelandic wool with my and a booklet with different patterns for icelandic sweaters. As you might have seen, I already knidded one for my godchild. Of course I was very proude of myself and I was encouraged to make another one…. this time for myself. :D

So I started on the 15th of March to knidd on my own one. Unfortunately after knidding already some round and ended up with something like 5cm in height, I realised that it was not wide enough. What was left to do? You might know that you have to undo the thing and start again. - Very disappointing and frustrating -

After knidding almost every evening (by watching TV) first on the body, then on the two arms, I am proud to pronounce that the work is done. On easter I was able to present my family the new icelandic sweater made by myself…. So if you would like to have one by your own….. ask better for the booklet and knidd youself ;-) thas more fun!

lonely work

Well, what else is more to do? I am right now writing on my thesis (for my diplom wirtschaftsingenieur studies), which keeps me quite busy. I hope I will be finished end of November, but I just started. On the other hand, there are some workshops I have to organise for our students (conflict management and business etiquette). And I started to organise a picture competition. Of course I will take part in this competition and I hope to win. Hopefully we will get a nice picture calender made with at least one of my pictures. So take care. I hope to keep you informed, either in english or german…. we gonna see. Sjáumst!

Happy Easter!

My dear friends. Well, one year is over…. again. I remember the time, when I was playing “Eierrollen” (something like “rolling the eggs”) in front of Hallgrímskirkja with Ina and Pawel. Thanks for the very nice time. Well… I lost the game. But anyway. To all my dear friends in the first and second semester in Ísland. Have a nice easter and have fun with searching for the eggs. ;-) unfortunately it works better in German :D
Sjáumst!
