ok, my sister told me not to….
… prolong writing my articles in english. She told me she is almost able to understand everything, but it is hard for her. So I thought about keeping a better contact with you folks in the world. So I would like you to decide how to keep on. Either write in english or in germany. Please leave a comment on this page. I will do then so.
But now, after the first time, I wrote this article, the program didn’t want to save it, I have to write it again. Well, what happend this weeks? Beginning of this month I took part in a sculpture-seminar, organised by the “Focus Europa”. This is an organisation of artists, which want to support a better understanding of different cultures. The fun part about this was, that we all came from different professions and levels. But at the end we did a quite good job and had been able to present a lot of pices of fine art.
After that I started to apply for different jobs. I is fascinating, how many things an engineer could do these days in Germany. So I have to decide, what is an interesting and motivating product. After doing so, I good already some invitations. So I have to keep on the good work. On the other hand there is even a chance to prolong my studies in Iceland. Mid this month I got the chance to speak with a Docotor at the Háskóli Íslands who would like to support my project (either M.Eng or PhD). He has very interesting and forcing ideas about it and how to organise the studies. So keep the fingers crossed, I have to see how is the outcome of my application at the science office at HÍ and for the scholarship.
My thesis is also going well. Thanks to my dear friends at the Licht-Punkt, I have been able to find room and time to make my thesis better. Right now I worked also on chapter 5, but I have to wait for further information. Today I would like to work on chapter 6 and structurise my ideas about possible solutions for the problem, I am working on. So it still keep me bussy. ![]()
Last Friday I also had the chance to take part in the business dinner of the Campus of Excellence in Hof. In 2005 I took part in the Summerschool of the Campus of Excellence, which was a very interesting and challenging experience. Looking back, I think the big advantage have been the contacts I made. There are still some contacts, which might offer me futur job opportunities. University keeps me bussy too. I am doing stuff for the hof alumni and for tha alumni organisation of the Campus of Excellence. So still a lot of things to do.
I hope to keep you posted soon. Sjáumst! Harald
