Hallo Welt! - Hello world!
Das neue Semester in Island hat begonnen und das nun auch mal wirklich richtig. Das Studium nimmt mich sehr in Anspruch, dennoch finde ich immer mal wieder Zeit etwas Interessantes anzusehen. Das möchte ich natürlich auch mit euch teilen.
Derzeit hat in Reykjavik (RVK) das Reykjavik International Film Festival begonnen (www.riff.is) und den ersten Film habe ich gerade gesehen.
Der Titel lautet “A Jihad for love” (www.ajihadforlove.com) und ist eine Dokumentation über das Leben und die Erlebnisse von Muslime, die das gleiche Geschlecht lieben. Es ist doch schon sehr bedrückend, wie Lesben und Schwule in der islamischen Welt, aber auch bei uns im “Westen” leben (müssen). Was die Religion uns lehrt und was wir daraus machen. Welche Regeln wir uns setzten und wie wir uns “regeln” lassen.

I would like to welcome you again and hope you did maybe miss me a bit. At the moment my term at University started again… Finally? Well I don’t know, but still i get some order and structure in my live, again.
At the moment, the RIFF - Reykjavik International Film Festival started again and the first movie I visited was “A Jihad for love” about the live and struggle of gay muslim in the world (mainly in muslimic countries, but also in some western states).
