Celeriac-soup

Hi, a few days ago I had the impression I would have to try something new with celery, so here is a new recipe for you to try out.

  • 200g celeriac
  • 50g rice
  • 1l water
  • 50-100g shrimp
  • 50 ml cream
  • juice of half a lemon
  • fresh or dried parsely
  • garlic
  • vegetable stock

First of all, the easiest is to boil the rice and small cut celery in 1l water until it is done. Then add 1ts of vegetable stock and the shirmp and continue boiling it on medium heat for additional 5 min. Later add the spices and cream and simmer it for a while. Add a bit starch if you would like to have it more creamy. Let the soup cool down a bit and add then the lemon juice (otherwise you will loos all the vitamin C).

Enjoy!

ok, long time no see.

After a long time I did not post anything I would like to come back and post something. What have I done, well I was quite busy with studying as well with writing my master thesis. The end of last year was mainly concerned with courses and the preparation with my thesis.

Now after almost finishing this term I have to reconcile what happend. Well finally I was able to apply for an exchange programme in Japan. It seems like that the international office here at HÍ is not that capable to do that for me, so I was applying directly at a University in Japan myself. It seems good, but it all depends on the application for some grants. Without money I might not be able to go to Hokkaido. So keep the fingers crossed for that.

Concerning my thesis, I am working on consensus building and conflict management for the Vatnajökull National Park. It is very interesting, but unfortunately I lost quite some time, preparing for Japan and doing the necessary applications. I will keep you posted. ;-)

If you would like know more, what I have been posting during the last months, please visit the webpage of my student organisation called GAIA.
